1. North Sky Celina
Project: North Sky Celina is a 286-acre master-planned community slated to open sometime in 2024, according to its website. The community will feature a variety of amenities, including a dog park, playgrounds and a resort-style pool.
Update: The developer purchased 66 acres of the Ariana LLC development directly south of North Sky Celina. The acquisition will increase North Sky’s number of homes by 258, bringing the development's total to 1,045.

2. North Square at Uptown Celina
Project: North Square at Uptown Celina is a planned 13-acre residential community that will feature 78 paired homes built by Olivia Clarke Homes.
Update: Construction is underway on the development, according to an Aug. 1 news release. The community's first model home is expected to open in November, and its first batch of inventory homes are expected to be delivered during the same month.

3. Ariana LLC Development
Project: Ariana LLC is building a master-planned, 148-acre development that will include single-family lots, estate lots and townhomes as well as some retail and medical commercial spaces. The 66 acres designated for single-family homes were sold to the North Sky Celina development.
Update: Work on the single-family homes and estate lots are expected to begin in October and November, respectively. Homebuilders with K. Hovnanian will work on the single-family lots, according to Ariana LLC’s website.

4. Legacy Drive development
Project: Located next to the Creeks of Legacy development, the development is a 107-acre, 320-home neighborhood split between 50-foot and 60-foot lots. The land is divided between the city and the county with 49 acres inside city limits and 58 acres in the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.
Update: Celina Planning and Zoning Commission members recommended the city approve the annexation for the development during a July 18 meeting. Celina City Council is expected to discuss the development in August.
